Girls C-Team Axed

The Derby School board has eliminated the girls soccer C-Team due to budget cuts & lack of teams to play next school year for 2011-2012. Derby's C-Team played 9 games last season, with 4 of them against USD 259 schools in Wichita.

This made it easy for the athletic Dept. & school board to ax the team, but wait the superintendent for USD 259 (Wichita) has found $2.6 million to use to bring back their C-Team programs in which he will purpose to their school board. So, if USD 259 brings back C-Team soccer, is it to late for Derby to do the same? or do they go the way of the Buffalo's?

Only time & money will tell!

Men's end of season banquet

 
This year's Men's banquet will be at the High School in the commons area. Starting at 6 PM on Tuesday, Nov. 8th (election day).

Regionals - 1 & Done.

 
The Panthers went in to the Regionals against South in a re-match game and lost 1-2.  Finishing the season with a record 7-9-1.

The team should be in great shape for next year. With a strong core of underclassmen taking over. Now the long wait for Spring to get here for the ladies turn on the pitch!
